NBA Board Committees Volunteers Needed
MISSION STATEMENT
The Niwot Business Association is a non-profit corporation
organized to promote the economic and commercial well-being of businesses
in the Niwot Business Area, encourage preservation of the Niwot Historic
District, and make a positive contribution to the Niwot community.
The
NBA is composed of local business owners including retail, restaurant,
salons, and property owners, as well as those offering professional services
such as legal, health care and accounting. We encourage all businesses
to join the NBA in order to have a voice in decisions affecting Niwot
businesses as well as to support the entire community. Annual dues are
$150.

WHAT WE DO AND WHERE THE MONEY GOES
- Streetlights on Second Ave. The original old-fashioned street
lamps that add to the charm of
Old Town were made possible and are maintained through NBA dues.
- The Caboose
on the Diagonal, which serves as Niwot’s Billboard,
was restored, moved and is
being maintained by the NBA.
- Niwot’s marketing program, which includes
the web site, www.niwot.com. This new web site will only list businesses
and their web site links that are members of the NBA.
- Sponsorship of special events such as: 4th of July, Halloween,
Enchanted Evening, Christmas parade, Nostalgia Day, and the Concert
Series.
- Connection to the Niwot
Community Association, Niwot Historical Society and the Niwot Ladies
Club through dual memberships, thus creating better communication with
all groups that
are actively promoting Niwot.
- Monthly meetings to create and work together
to promote Niwot, as well as socialize and
network with each other..
- E-mail newsletters and calendar of events happening
all over town.
- Membership booklet and decal for your window promoting
your community involvement.
UPCOMING PROJECTS AND GOALS
- Full color glossy tri-fold brochure featuring
Niwot as a destination, to be printed in the thousands and placed in
hotels, conference centers and chambers of commerce in neighboring
cities.
- Fabulous web site
- Corporate Sponsorship for Concert Series
- Increasing membership to include
outlying larger corporations and individuals who have home–based
businesses in Niwot.
COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
“What’s in it for me?” is the question most often heard
when business owners are approached
to join any association. The NBA is Niwot’s Chamber of Commerce.
By joining you are
lending your voice and vote to decisions that impact the entire community.
You are joining
your neighbors in efforts to increase business and awareness to our town.
You are helping to
financially support the above-mentioned benefits and goals. And you become
an active
member of your own community. There is strength in numbers!
